Earth Knowledge exists to understand how we as humans interact with our planet and determine ways we can work with it, not against it, so that we can thrive together.
Our team of experts have been collecting, curating and integrating critical environmental and societal data at scale for over 40 years. This covers different Earth systems and subsystems in locations all over the world, including our planet’s land masses, oceans and icecaps; cities and urbanized regions; deserts, forests and mountains – amounting to hundreds of petabytes of data.
Our mission is to harness this data and extract highly reliable and valuable insights from it, which can then be used by decision-makers to guide their futures. Our historical analysis, predicted outcomes and risk calculations advise, influence and inform them to better manage their risks and identify new opportunities – sustainably and profitably.
We make this happen through our global network of government agencies, academic institutions, scientists and industry; our strong technology partnerships; and our authoritative scientific models. Together, we determine real-world conditions, calculate long-term projections and provide insightful, actionable information about our ever-changing planet.
Our journey so far has taken us to the White House as a founding technology partner and influencer for President Obama’s Climate Data Initiative. We have built a sustainability business intelligence hub in partnership with Google, BBC, The Guardian and NASA, accessed by 80% of countries globally. We have provided world-class predictive analytic models used as the foundation for assessing environmental risk, playing a key role in shaping government and industry leader resilience strategies.
Now, we’re embarking on a new chapter as we look to bring our expertise to the corporate and financial services sectors. In industries reliant on accurate, transparent data to measure, price and mitigate risk, we’re here to fill the missing gaps and provide an authoritative source of information for businesses to build resilient, sustainable and profitable futures.
