Alan Flint, PhD
Co-Director of Earth Systems Modeling

Dr. Alan Flint shares in development of Earth Knowledge’s Petascale+ Digital Twin of the Earth. Earth Knowledge’s Earth System of Systems approach integrates multi-dimensional models to provide the most comprehensive view of risks and opportunities across the globe.

Dr. Alan Flint is an internationally recognized professional and coding expert in the areas of Earth systems models including soil physics and hydrologic modeling. He is the developer of hydrologic computer codes that have been used in the characterization and licensing of the first proposed high-level radioactive waste facility in the US at Yucca Mountain, Nevada. These computer codes have been adapted over his long and distinguished career for use in understanding the potential impacts of climate change on water resources throughout the US, Central and South America, Africa and the Middle East.

Alan is a highly distinguished Emeritus Research Hydrologist at the US Geological Survey.
