Julia Armstrong D’Agnese is an innovator and change-maker and as Earth Knowledge CEO drives strategic partnerships and big-picture transformational opportunities to help build a more sustainable world.  She uses her ability to gain respect of, and constructively challenge, business and organizational leaders, advocating and driving reinvention through technology and propelling individuals and organizations into new paradigms of thought and operation. Julia works with Fortune 500 company leadership to innovatively become truly sustainable, harnessing global change opportunities and mitigating risks to become more climate resilient and nature positive.

Julia is internationally recognized for her strong leadership including being chosen as one of the Top 100 Women in Cloud Founders in 2023.  She comes from generations of entrepreneurs and is passionately and fearlessly committed to scaling Earth Knowledge’s success and global impact for our triple bottom line: people, planet and profits.

Julia inspires highly successful work such as with Microsoft where Earth Knowledge has been selected as one of the leading Climate and Sustainability partners for #BuildFor2030. She co-led the Earth Knowledge Portal, the first to market sustainability portal, with Google, BBC, Guardian, WWF which 80% of the countries of the world accessed. Julia was key in the Obama White House Climate Data Initiative work with the development and launch of PREP (Partnership for Resilience and Preparedness).

In financial services, she has co-authored thought leadership with EY and Microsoft including “Waking up to Nature: a biodiversity imperative for financial services,” WWF and the World Bank “Geospatial ESG” and “Spatial Finance” and has presented recently at conferences such as the ZHAW Swiss Sustainable Finance in Zurich and Northern Trust’s Sustainable Wealth Management.

Prior to Earth Knowledge, Julia helped scale a company that started in trailers to IPO, past managing partner with a venture capital firm, and for 18 years had her own highly successful business advising and mentoring successful business leaders and individuals to think-outside-the-box to advocate and accelerate paradigm shifts in various industries, including venture capital, medical, legal, scientific, entertainment and technology.

Julia holds a BS in Spanish and Business with International Studies focus from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, an MS in Psychology from the University of Arizona, and a post-graduate degree on dynamics of success in business, leadership, innovation and change management.
